Yesterday I celebrated one more year of life. It was my Valentine’s birthday. At my age, birthdays come too quickly and often aren’t celebrated with the vigor of youth. However, this one was special. It wasn’t routine, rote, or unwanted. This year, it was a treasure that I nearly missed. A welcome opportunity to, not only mark the years of my life, but bask in the blessing of still being alive to see it. So, for every grey hair, stiff muscle, extra pound, or crow’s feet, I’m not mad at you! I am thankful to God and full of joy and gratitude to see this wonderful year!
