I recently came into the knowledge that a situation that I lived wasn’t what I thought it was at all. I thought it was a bit off-center, but now I see it plainly. It was a drain on my life, both unhealthy and unproductive. As I’ve continued to process it, I find myself at a crossroads. I can dwell on the experience and allow it to continue to produce bad fruit in my life. Or I can choose to forgive, heal, and move forward. Well, I chose the latter. I don’t have to be defined by my past, and I don’t have to accept the structures that others have built in life. I can choose a future of health, peace, and blessings.

I am grateful that my past does not define my life and future. If you’ve ever found yourself at a similar crossroads, let me encourage you that you were not meant to live your life looking backward. Forgive your transgressors. It will enable you to tap into the fullness of your life that is yet ahead.
